Since 1996, the European Phycological Congress series has brought together phycologists from around the world every four years, starting with its inaugural event in Cologne, Germany.
After our last fabulous meeting in Brest, France, we are pleased to invite you to Kraków, Poland for the 9th European Phycological Congress.
Poland has a long tradition of algal research, about their taxonomy as well as ecology.
The main objective of the Congress is to provide a forum for discussion over the latest scientific, technological and societal developments in phycological research.
EPC9 includes plenary lectures, series of symposia grouped into thematic sessions, contributed papers and poster presentations covering a wide range of topics. We will also grant an opportunity to organise subject-specific workshops. Each symposium and workshop may address micro- and macroalgae from marine, freshwater, and terrestrial ecosystems.
